TruckerStopNearMe.com ("the app," "we," "us") is a free navigation tool that helps drivers find truck stops, fuel stations, rest areas, retail locations, weigh stations, and CAT Scale locations nearby. This page explains what information the app uses and how.
When you allow location access (or double-click/tap the map to set a position manually), your coordinates are used only in your browser to center the map, calculate distances, and query nearby locations. We do not operate a server that stores, logs, or sells your location history. Your position is sent to the third-party mapping and routing services described below solely to retrieve nearby points of interest and directions for the request you make.
CAT Scale location names, addresses, and phone numbers shown in the app come from a CAT Scale Company location dataset and are displayed for driver convenience. This data is not collected from you and is not linked to your identity or activity.
This app can be installed to your home screen and uses a service worker to cache map tiles and app files on your own device so it loads faster and partially works with no signal. This cached data stays on your device — it is not uploaded anywhere by us.
Location, amenity, and hours information is sourced from open community map data and third-party datasets. It may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always verify parking, fuel, and facility availability directly with the location, especially before relying on it for overnight parking.
This app is intended for commercial drivers and is not directed at children under 13.
